It rained like mad during the night but by the morning it was relatively clear and seemed to be looking pretty ok in the direction of Padstow, so off we went. We parked in the upper car park and did a walk around the town before setting off for a cliff top walk towards Trevone Head. Before we got there we took the path down to the beach and settled down to some ipad art as we hadn’t bought our paints along with us – again. The beach was nice and sheltered and it was good to see Pentire from a different angle.
Into Padstow again for a bite to eat, Stein’s pasty, custard tart and coffee, then a look in at the Stein empire before setting off for Trevone Head by car. It had come on to rain a bit so we headed off back to the ranch, it was now about 4pm, and did some painting in our room. Liz was cooking us supper tonight and it did not disappoint. We had salmon, in a butter and lemon sauce, fresh peas and broccoli and new potatoes and for desert we had apricot almond crumble, delicious.
The next day it was time to pack our bags but not before we had another excellent breakfast, this time we had smoked salmon and scrambled egg. It was bright and sunny so we went first to Widemouth Bay where we did quite a bit of painting, then on to Bude, for a walk around and trip to the fabric shop.
