The weather has been glorious but today, just as we were setting off the grey clouds loomed over the horizon! I had hoped to spend some time on the beach and also take in a crab sandwich lunch at Port Isaac but the car park was full and Hyw didn’t want to stay. We went down to Polzeath, the sea was very calm and flat but beautifully warm. After a brief paddle and a quick, very expensive beer we went to Wadebridge for lunch at a pub ( dreadful) and then to Padstow, but again it was very crowded although not as crowded as in July/August. We stayed at Redvellian, Boscastle, where Verity and I had such a good time. Supper was at the Napoleon Inn, which was busy. After supper we had a brief walk around the harbour. We came home after breakfast. It poured with rain, a fine example of pathetic fallacy.
