Verona

Today we headed off for Verona for a half day visit. The old town and all the historic buildings are in a loop of the river so it was fairly easy to see them all and not get lost. It was a very attractive town, and although there were coach parties there, the town was big enough to accommodate them and it didn’t feel too crowded. Again, the weather was sunny and it was not at all sweaty, as it had been in Toulouse. We also went in Tiger, which I think is a Danish shop, and bought one or two useful things. We took lots of photos but my camera is on charge so you will have to wait for the pictures.

We ate lunch back at the cafe in Brenzone but the sky became a little overcast after we had finished so I did some drawing instead of going for a swim. We chose to down to supper 30 minutes later than usual but that is clearly not a good idea as some of the food choices were limited!
